Or do I need to remove pipes from the garage? Or Do I have to remove all pipes from the basement I installed?

I live in a single family house in Maricopa county AZ. One of the pipes to the sprinkler system is broken. I put in a repair request almost a month ago. Can I just fix it myself and absorb the costs without getting sued or anything? I just want it taken care of. My lease doesn’t mention anything about repairs other than the fact that I need to submit requests in writing.
