Is it generally more profitable to do your own repairs on a house, or just sell it as is?

We are working on a house that needs a lot of repairs, such as paint, new flooring, lots of plumbing, water damage repair, yardwork, exterior work, ect. We are being paid out of the inheritance money to do it (it was my grandpas), and so far we are just being paid to clean. I’m curious for my own reasons what is usually the most profitable. We have the time to do the repairs, but they might sell it anyways. Thoughts?
