Catherine B asked: Does anyone know any possible way to repair a surfboard other then taking it in to a shop. The board has some minor puncture marks to it and I’m afraid it will take on water if I take it out. Is there any apoxy or glue or any home repairs I can try? I realize there is a fiberglass overlay, I just can’t afford to have it professionally repaired at this time.

bucky asked: I am single in 30’s living with my retired parents. I have always tried to bless them majorly over the years. I love doing it. I am fully aware that I am able to bless them because of low living expenses. I want to take care of some major home repairs. Like whole house rewire, have insulation blown in and added everywhere and pay for a new furnace. This all could be up to $20,000.00 I am willing to work my but off to accomplish this. My Mom feels it is great but she wants me to get paid back after they pass away. Any concerns or comments please. Please no Your still living at homespeech. I am paying thousands for other projects currently. So I am responsible and I am not a freeloader.

wisdominknowledge asked: in this economy, bartering for (mainly services-car repairs, babysitting, home repairs/minor projects, computer setup/troubleshooting, etc.) could save people a lot of money. I’m thinking of a network of members who barter goods and services. The group would bring accountability to the process versus a system where strangers trade services. Any experience doing this or ideas on how to get started-good idea? What do you think

rickmeister asked: My girlfriend…is living in a house from her divorced husband…She is looking to me for home improvments such as building a new deck on the back of the house..a new porch on the front of the house…a new gable? Also put in a bay window…put in windows around the whole house..Carpet the stairs..carpet the upstairs..paint the whole house and drywall the basement, put up new closet doors…put up shelving..remove and reinstall kitchen cabinets…Tile and grout both bathrooms and the kitchen..make a wall down in the basement put in a drop ceiling with lights..do trim work…put a fence aroung the front of the yard with mortar and rock field stone post..build retaining walls…do brick paving..put in new doorwalls….Etc…I am not really a home repair guy…but am willing to try and save money on labor cost…she says if we do all this the home will sell better…understandable. I just want to make her happy!! Is there a ways to learn and succesfully meet all these projects? Im lost?
