I had a house fire last year can I use the repairs to the house on my taxes?

   nope. Insurance is not a tax deduction.

   If you had a lose there are provisions for you to use.

   But there are limits & it would be best to get the good kind of advice.

   There is a place on your taxes that you can claim a loss such as this, presumes a) you were not at fault for the loss and b) the amount claimed was not covered by insurance. You need form 4684

   No, if your loss was insured there is no deduction.
