Is it ok to have a contractor come out before the close of a home to make estimates on repairs?

The seller has already accepted our offer. We have an engineering inspection tomorrow, but would like a contractor to come out today to estimate a project we would like to do. Is this ok? Or should the contractor come at the same time as the engineer?

If your offer has been accepted, I would schedule the contractor at the same time as the inspection. Why interrupt the seller anymore than you have to. Be considerate.
